The Salty Nerds talk about some of their favorite "horror" movies based around being in a cabin out in the wilderness, and much hilarity ensues.
First up is the genre-bending classic, Cabin in the Woods, the one where Thor is manipulated to appease slumbering Gods so they don't destroy humanity. This is probably one of the most clever horror movies ever made (because, well, it comes from Joss Whedon), and is one of the Salty Nerds favorites.
Know what isn't one of their favorites? Eli Roth's Cabin Fever. The movie was edgy when it first came out, but it hasn't aged well by Salty Nerds standards. And there's one scene in particular that gives the Nerds nightmares, but not in the "this is a good horror movie" way, but more in a "why is this in the movie" way.
Finally, the Nerds put on their sleeveless flannel and crack open a Pabst Blue Ribbon to talk about Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, a fun cult classic where the hillbillies are the good guys instead of the monsters, and the college kids are the ones killing themselves. Definitely worth a watch!
