Vincenzo Natali Week: Splice (2009)

Vincenzo Natali Week: Splice (2009)

Splice movie review from the Salty Nerds has them squirming in their skins at this uncomfortable (yet brilliant) horror movie.

Part Marry Shelly's Frankenstein, part Jurassic Park, SPLICE is a film about humanity's genetic future and the consequences of playing God.  Starring Adrien Brody, Sarah Polley, and David Hewlett, this movie tells the story of two scientists who create a whole new species only to discover that their creation is far more dangerous than they first believed.  Written and directed by Vincenzo Natali, this is a unique and terrifying film that's sure to make everyone who sees it never want to watch it again!  But in that sense, it has a unique charm you can't find in most horror films.
