The Salty Nerds wrap up their Star Trek movie marathon with the Bad Robot and JJ Abrams produced trilogy of films!
First up is the 2009 reboot of Star Trek, starring a whole new cast and featuring a whole new confusing timeline that screwed up Star Trek continuity to this day! But the Nerds sorta-kinda enjoyed it anyway.
Then is the disappointing, overblown, and somewhat silly sequel Star Trek Into Darkness, which was voted by the fans to be the WORST Star Trek movie ever made (despite Star Trek V existing). It's basically a rip-off of The Wrath of Kahn, but hey, who needs originality nowadays when you can play off nostalgia?
Finally, there's Star Trek Beyond, where the brains behind the Fast and the Furious franchise save the galaxy with the help of the Beastie Boys. No, seriously, that's what the movie is about.
