Star Trek The Next Generation Movies Review from the Salty Nerds has them setting their phasers on the first two TNG films, along with two of the best episodes of The Next Gen ever - The Best of Both Worlds parts 1 & 2!
The Nerds start with Star Trek Generations, which bridges the gap between the Original Series cast and the Next Gen cast by crossing Kirk with Picard. After reviewing all six TOS movies previously, the Nerds have a mixed perspective on how Captain Kirk was handled in Generations. After all, didn't William Shatner deserve better?
Then, the Nerds delve into the legendary two-parter The Best of Both Worlds from the Next Gen series. These two episodes of Star Trek The Next Generation put the show on the map and created a whole new generation of fans, while also establishing the threat of the Borg and the impact they would have on the character of Captain Picard for decades to come.
Finally, the Nerds review what is arguably the best Next Generation movie, First Contact. This movie ties in directly with the events that played out in The Best of Both Worlds and eventually what occurs in Star Trek Picard. But is it really as good as so many people think it is? The Nerds debate all this and more!
