In this episode of the Salty Nerd podcast, the nerds are talking about Sci-Fi Horror Movies! Not good ones, mind you, but they try really, really hard.
First up is the fancy-schmancy art-house flick Sunshine, from UK director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland, where Cilian Murphy and Chris Evans get horny for the sun while a crazy space zombie wreaks havoc on their spaceship.
Secondly, we look at another Paul Stanky Anderson film, and this one is his take on "The Shining In Space" idea, Event Horizon, where a creepy looking engine turns a space ship into a haunted house and before you know it, you're watching a Hellraiser In Space movie starring Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neill.
Finally, we take a look at the German production from filmmaker Christian Alvart (and produced by Paul WS Anderson as well) called Pandorum, starring Ben Foster, Dennis Quaid, and the super-hot Antje Traue, about a group of settlers trying to survive on a spaceship full of mutant cannibals.
