It's that time of year for the Salty Nerds to do their Retro WE-WATCH (formerly Retro Re-Watch, but since they've never seen these movies before, the name had to be changed).
This year the Nerds visit three genre films from the 50s and 60s. The first up is the supernatural thriller 13 Ghosts, about a deadbeat dad who inherits a haunted mansion and a sweet pair of 3D glasses.
Next is the sci-fi classic The Day The Earth Stood Still, which takes place during a period when any stranger could babysit your kid, Christ allegories weren't allowed by the censorship board, and robots were the universe's police. Klatu, Barata, Nicto!
Finally, the Nerds round out the episode talking about the most homoerotic sci-fi film ever made - Robinson Crusoe On Mars! This movie has astronaut monkeys, space diarrhea, Adam West, and accurate science! (Sort of.)
