The Salty Nerds talk about the first three Resident Evil movies, starring Milla Jovovich and a bunch of other people!
Let's be honest - the Resident Evil films aren't the best movies ever made. But for some reason, they were super successful and kinda endearing. In this episode of the Salty Nerd Podcast, the Nerds review the first three movies in the ever-growing franchise.
First up is the original Resident Evil, written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. This movie actually has NOTHING to do with the Resident Evil video games, despite supposedly being an "adaptation." But it's got Milla Jovovich kicking zombie dogs in mid-air and Michelle Rodriguez looking pouty.
Next, we have Resident Evil Apocalypse, which is a bit more faithful to the video game but still is so ridiculous it makes zero sense. But whatever, we don't watch Resident Evil movies because they make sense.
Finally, we have Resident Evil Extinction, which was directed by the same guy who did Highlander. But he's also the same guy who did Highlander 2. This movie has Milla Jovovich exploding lots of birds and Jorah Mormont turning into a mutant zombie.
