The Legendary Monsterverse Movies are the topic of this episode of the Salty Nerd Podcast! We're talking the reboots of Godzilla and King Kong, and the new cinematic universe Legendary Pictures has created!
The Legendary monsterverse movies are a ton of fun, and it all starts off with Godzilla 2014! We get Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, and Aaron Taylor-Thomas chasing around Godzilla as he fights some nasty, radiation-eating spider-crabs! (Or, MUTOS, if you want to get technical.)
Then, we get back to the Vietnam war for some Legendary monster action in Kong Skull Island, where a bunch of jerks invade Skull Island and Kong is forced to sort them out. Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, and Tom Hiddleston all took time off from doing Marvel movies to play with King Kong for a while, it would seem.
Finally, the Nerds look at Godzilla King of the Monsters, and celebrate Tywin Lannister being in a movie with a 3-headed dragon (and a VOLCANO BIRD!). Godzilla is in true form in this Legendary Monsterverse Movie and the Nerds couldn't be happier about it.
