Gunpowder Milkshake review by the Salty Nerds has them wondering if this stylistic action movie is about "girl power" or if it's just an excuse to hate on men. (Or maybe both?)
The lovely Karen Gillan is headlining this "Femwick" movie about assassins vs. the Russian mafia with the help of three sassy "librarians" and an estranged mother. It's a mother/daughter tale with lots of shoot-em-up action!
But that's not enough to save this movie, as much of the action in Gunpowder Milkshake is boring, even if it looks cool. The performances are fine, but the story is a bit of a mess. As the Salty Nerds do their Gunpowder Milkshake breakdown, you'll find out why.
Ultimately, this Gunpowder Milkshake reaction is one of indifferences, as this movie is nothing special. So, of course, it's getting a sequel! lol.
