Directing Action Scenes - SEE's James Madigan (Transformers, The MEG, Snake Eyes 2nd Unit Director)

Were you impressed with the action scenes from AppleTV's SEE, starring Jason Momoa? Well, the Salty Nerds were too! So they decided to interview the man responsible for planning and shooting most of the action scenes in this amazing TV show - James Madigan!

Though you might not be familiar with his name, you're definitely familiar with his work as James is responsible for most of the big "trailer moments" you've likely seen. Throughout his career, James has worked on huge projects, such as The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Brothers Grimm, G.I. Joe Retaliation, The MEG, Snake Eyes, Transformers, and of course, SEE.

In this eye-opening interview, James talks about how he planned out the big battle scene for the climax of SEE, the challenges of shooting during the COVID pandemic, what it was like working with Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista, and what makes a good action scene.

What did you think of this interview? Are you excited to see more stuff from James Madigan? What's your favorite action scene? Let us know in the comments!
